So I need some insight, I have a shoplifting charge that is a misdemeanor from 2014. The charge will be 5 years old at the end of January (received) and in March it will be 5 years since i was charged. So basically in a nut shell my charge is either 4 years & 11 months old or 4 years & 9 months old, will this charge be held against me when it comes to the background process and being hired . I have did a disclosure letter that I will be giving to the hiring manager at my interview as well as taking other steps to clearing myself. PLEASE anyone with answers or advice please help !
