I recently was offered a CSSR position with Wells Fargo, but i have to pass a credit and background check. I'm not worried about the background, but I don't have great credit. I have an active delinquent account due to defaulting on student loans. I am currently a student and student loans are not supposed to start charging you until you've been out for 3 consecutive terms or 6 months after you graduate. Neither of these apply to me and I am currently disputing the charges. The Financial Fitness Team has asked me to explain the situation, which I have. When I asked them if there was anything further I could do, they told me they have completed their investigation and I would know the results when my background check was completed. Is it safe to assume I passed the credit check if they're continuing with the background check? Does anyone know if my situation with student loans would disqualify me for employment?
