Your situation may be similar to mine. Theft by check in 1999; received def adj; now dismissed. arrest still shows on FBI fingerprint but is also showing "sealed for non-disclosure". Also have letter from FDIC stating i fall under de minimis. Was this similar to you and are you still employed at bank? Guess i'm trying to find someone who actually is still employed using FDIC de minimis. Thanks

I applied online about two weeks ago. I was given an opportunity for a group interview and I went yesterday. The key is to be happy, upbeat, and answer first! They ask you to introduce yourself and your previous job experience. Then she got into the company background and asked questions like "when's a time youve dealt with an unhappy guest and how did you handle that situation and what was the outcome""name a personal sales goal, how did you achieve it, how long did it take.""Name a professional achievement, what did you learn about yourself" I didn't answer this as a time I dealt with a difficult customer like many did I mentioned how there wasn't a budget for training and I was forced to learn myself. Finally "when's a time you learned a task quickly and efficiently" we were told it would take either 3 to 5 business days for a call back or email but she said she was interviewing a lot of people all week and would call us a week later. I received a call back today from her! She told she was forwarding my information to the branch managers and I'd hear back from them by Monday if I didn't to call her. However 20 minutes later the branch called. They require you bring two copies of your resume. IT'S KEY FOR WOMEN TO DRESS IN PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS WEAR THEIR UNIFORM IS A JACKET OR BLAZER! After I left the first interview I hit target for affordable suit jackets! It's required for the second interview and really should be for the first! Don't allow tattoos to show either look as professional as possible. They key is customer service and speaking clearly and being the first to answer it gives you the upper hand in the group interview

You have to be an employee when the bonus is paid out in order to collect a bonus, which makes sense.

however, I i said i worked at all of my jobs longer than i actually did and left a few jobs off my history. How extensive do they look into employment history? Is this something they care about with background check? Please help. Thanks

I was offered a position in the Home Loan division and was asked to explain my delinquent accounts. I am so nervous they will deny my employment that I am losing sleep. I have 2 collections account for $2,400 from two charged off accts. I am currently on a payment plan for 2 of my active credit card accounts. I am being marked late every month until I am fully caught up, I will be caught up next month. I do not have any public records and my fingerprinting record should come back perfect. I have responded to the credit fitness dept. letting them know I take full responsibility for my delinquent accounts and I am actively working to get current. I have also enclosed my payment plan and recent statement showing payments have been made. Has anyone been denied from similar credit? Also, how long after do you find out if you passed credit fitness and who will let you know? I rec'd my credit report on and notice to respond 2 days ago, fingerprinting was done 2 days ago. It's Saturday today. Any feedback would be helpful, thank you so much!

I recently applied to Wells Fargo. Went through the interview process and was offered the personal banker position contingent on background check results and credit fitness. The background check came back with no issues. However I have bad credit. I received an email asking to explain the reason for the charged off accounts. I explained with detail the reason for them being charged off and also included a payment plan. Has anyone had this issue? If so where you still given the job?

The background check came back with no issues. However I received an email from the financial fitness department, and was asked to explain some delinquent accounts that are on my credit report. I explained the accounts and also included a payment plan and provided documentation for the ones that were reported incorrectly. Has anyone had this issue? If so did it lead to a job offer?

Would like to apply for a teller position but worried about a misdemeanor from 20 years ago for $10 petty theft. I was 18 & worked at a restaurant and gave 2 friends a free meal then the next thing you know I was locked up doing hard time. I got convicted of 1 Misdemeanor but since I hooked up the grub for two people the record says 2 counts. I only served 1 day in jail. Would I qualify to get a bank job under the FDIC section 19 De minimus clause?
Under that clause it has to be 5 years, 1 conviction, no more then 3 days in jail & the monetary value has to be less then $2,500.
The only thing that worries me is that it was 2 counts but it does not say anything about the counts. It is 1 Misdemeanor on my rap sheet.
I read on these posts about people with more serious multiple felony drug convictions getting hired & it bums me out because the banks basically consider a $10 burger hook up more serious then having felony convictions for possession of over $2,000 lbs of contraband.
Any people familiar with the fingerprinting?

The recruiter said she would call as soon as she got word, wondering does anyone know how long this can possible take.
